Details of Qualifications & Experience required

1. LIBRARIAN
Qualification and experience: First Class or higher II class Master's Degree in any subject coupled with a post graduate degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with consistently good academic record and relevant publications in professional journals. Desirable: M.Phil./Ph.D. degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation. 15 years experience in a large Academic Library.

Essential experience of minimum 8 years in a large Academic Library. The Librarian will be responsible for overall operations and activities of the Library and will interact with faculty, students and participants of other academic programmes. The Librarian may be given the status of a member of the faculty depending on one's background and experience.

Candidates in the pay scale of Rs. 10,000-325-15,200 or above only need apply.

Age: Around 50 years.

Scale of Pay: Rs.12000-18300 plus allowances, privileges, superannuation benefit like CPF-Gratuity as applicable to the Institute employees.

2. Estate Officer/Executive Engineer
The Institute campus has a large number of buildings used for academic, administrative and residential purposes. The Estate Officer will be responsible for overall planning, implementation and supervision in respect of - (i) Maintenance of buildings/housekeeping (ii) maintenance and development of lawns, gardens and other open spaces (iii) various civic amenities such as water supply, electricity, roads, drainage and sanitation and (iv) campus security.

He will also play an important role in management of the Institute's transport and telecommunications systems.

Qualification and experience: Candidates should have an engineering degree with considerable experience of managing an estate of a residential campus

Scale of Pay: 10000-15200
3. Administrative Officer (Programmes)

The Programmes Officer will take the full responsibility of conducting the programme, starting from admissions/registration of students, keeping track of students' profile, scheduling of classes, examinations, keeping record of the grades, students' leave, communications with the teaching faculty, communications to students etc. review meetings, declaration of results, arrangements of seminars, student placements, convocation and any other function required for the smooth conduct of the Post Graduate Programme of the Institute.

Qualification and experience: A good Bachelors degree coupled with computer skill and minimum five years experience out of which two years in one of the IIMs would be desirable.

Scale of Pay: 8000-3500
4. Jr. Engineer (Electrical)

Qualification and experience: Degree in Electrical with five years experience or Diploma in Electrical with 10 years experience. Relaxation in experience may be considered in the case of bright degree holders in Electrical engineering. Experience in LT & HT installations and House Wiring is desirable. Good communication skills with computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office, Auto Cad etc. is a must.

Scale of Pay: 5000-8000
5. Accountant
Qualification and experience: Candidates should be proficient in handling accounts, cash, budget, processing of bills, investments, finalization of accounts, fund management of research/ consultancy projects, fulfilling audit requirements of various audits, etc. Candidates should be commerce graduates below 35 years with minimum of five years of relevant experience, proficient in English and must have handled finalization of accounts in a computerized environment. Candidates familiar with reputed Business School/ Technical Institution functioning/ working of Central/State Government autonomous bodies would be preferred.

Scale of Pay - Rs. 5000-8000
6. Library Information Assistants
Qualification & Experience: Graduate with B.Lib.Sc. with three years of relevant work experience or M.Lib.Sc. with or without work experience. Good working knowledge of English is necessary. He/she should be willing to work in shift duty.

Job Profile:

  • Cataloging of books
  • Classifications of books
  • Maintenance of circulation and membership records
  • Preparing and maintaining various statistics
  • Pasting of labels, writing the class nos. in book pockets, cross checking of      shelf cards.
  • Any other work assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
  • Receiving day-to-day periodicals from vendors, stock taking and sending       to Librarian.
  • Sending periodical reminders for missing issue and delay.
  • Collecting the DD or cheques from accounts section and dispatching to the       respective vendors/publishers and collecting the receipts of the same.
  • Recording the subscription records in serial model of Libsys.
  • Data entry of old bound volumes with the help of cards.
  • Preparing monthly statistical statements of journal section.
  • Any other work assigned from time to time by the Librarian.

    7. Stores & Purchase Officer
    Qualification and experience: Smart graduates with experience of having worked in the Stores & Purchase department of a Central University/Autonomous Institution.

    Job Profile:

  • Purchase of mess items, stationery & printing, capital items etc.
  • Purchase of technical items like Computers and other equipments
  • Inviting tenders/quotations from approved vendors
  • Issue/Maintaining records of all issues
  • Preparation of budget in respect of Stores for non-mess items, mess items       and capital items
  • All materials received shall be examined & counted
  • Preparation of list of Vendors
  • Quality Control

    8. Secretary to the Director
    Qualifications and experience: Smart graduates with an excellent command of the English language and Computer knowledge. The candidate should be able to handle correspondence independently and would have to coordinate with all departments and activities of the Institute and assist the Director on academic programs. Prior experience is a must.

  • Taking dictation, typing the same

  • Inter departmental correspondence
  • Correspondence to other govt. offices
  • Organizing Director's travel
  • Assisting the Director on academic programs.
  • Providing MIS
  • Maintain Director's daily diary, appointments, meetings etc

    9. Personal Assistants
    Qualifications and experience: Smart graduates with an excellent command of the English language and Computer knowledge. Ability to handle correspondence independently and coordinate with all departments is a must. Candidate should be able to assist faculty members in workshops, MDP programs and prepare project reports

    Job Profile:

  • Taking dictation, typing the same
  • Drafting notes, letters etc. for internal and external correspondence
  • Preparation of project reports for the faculty
  • Travel plans and other related arrangements
  • Assist faculty members with workshops, MDP programs etc.
  • All other secretarial help

    10. Office Assistants
    Qualifications and experience: Smart graduates with an excellent command of the English language and Computer knowledge. Candidate should have experience of administrative work and knowledge of accounts. Capability to interact and liaison with various departments, faculty, area chairpersons and coordinators, is necessary. Familiarity with the usage of Office equipment is a must and only candidates willing to work hard need apply.

  • Movement of papers and files to various offices.
